Dog Who Went Missing For Three Weeks Found Her Owner At Walmart

As dog lovers, we absolutely adore dog reunion stories. Most of the time, these stories are about humans going above and beyond to find their missing pups. But there are a few unique tales about dogs finding their own way back home. In this viral story, however, the missing pooch tracked her owner at her workplace.

The four-year-old black doggo named Abby escaped from their home in Dothan, Alabama. As her mom, June Rountree explained it, Abby had a leash on her. But she managed to slip out of it and as expected, the doggo started exploring their neighborhood, and she got lost eventually.

June and her husband did what is expected of any responsible dog parent. They looked for Abby around the city and checked the animal shelters in the area. Unfortunately, the pooch was nowhere to be found. The Rountree family posted a photo of Abby on Facebook, hoping that someone would give them information about her.

Then one day at the Walmart in Dothan, June’s coworker, Danielle Robinette, saw a black dog roaming around the store. The doggo did not have a vest, nor a collar, so she thought that this poor pooch was abandoned at the store. The pup looked like she was searching for someone as she inspected the faces of the people around her.

When the doggo saw June working at the cashier, she ran right up to her. That dog was Abby! June was stunned! The dog mom couldn’t help but cry tears of joy as they have worked tirelessly to find Abby for three weeks. June shared that she has no idea how her pup knew that she works at Walmart because she never took her there.

Danielle took photos of the heartwarming reunion and posted them on Facebook. Her post went viral to the point that the story became national news! Was it fate or sheer luck? It doesn’t matter, what’s important is that Abby is back home.
