Sisters Thoa, Thi, and Tram Bui care for stray kittens all year round. They pick up the poor kittens off the streets and help them find a home. They never adopted any of their fosters until Rosie came into their lives.
Rosie was only about two weeks old when the sisters found her. She was so small and weak, and she refused to drink milk. Thoa, Thi, and Tram worried that she might not make it through the night.
The Bui sisters live with their two Huskies, Lilo, and Fini, and Lilo seemed interested in Rosie. Without knowing what could happen, they placed the kitten beside their dog. And to their surprise, they just started cuddling.
Lilo decided she wanted to help Rosie. She groomed her and kept her warm. And a few hours later, the kitten felt much better that she started to drink her milk.
The Husky stayed by the kitten’s side the entire time. She was so gentle and patient and she took the role of a mother pretty seriously. And while the sisters originally planned to find a home for the little cat, they ended up adopting her anyway.
Lilo and Rosie became closer as days passed. They go on hikes and adventures, play at the park, and enjoy long walks. They even go kayaking together. Wherever Lilo may be, Rosie will surely be around.
Lilo was Rosie’s mentor growing up. She taught her what it’s like to be outside and how to be brave. And while Rosie’s all grown up and much more independent now, Lilo is still holding on to that motherhood. She’s still her baby no matter how big she’s become.
Lilo, Rosie, and Fini don’t see a lot of each other’s differences. They just accept one another. They teach people that friendship doesn’t have to be based only on similarities and that even differences can make you stronger.
